The Home welcomes families to visit as often as possible and to stay as long as they wish. Guests are a very important part of a resident's life, and we encourage regular visits by relatives and friends. We practice an open hours visitation policy with consideration for the comfort and schedules of all residents.
Please call the Home and advise the Nurse Manager of your plans as the doors are locked after this time. All visitors are required to sign in and out in the binder located at the reception desk and to obtain a visitor badge that is to be worn for the duration of the visit.
Cedarvale Terrace has excellent access to the Toronto Transit Commission transit system and in particular, the St. Clair West subway station. Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding Cedarvale Terrace. Limited parking is available in our parking lot. Visitors are asked to respect the "No Parking" signs posted in Fire Routes. They are there to permit ambulances and emergency vehicles easy access to the Home.
We encourage community involvement and attempt to strengthen the association between the residents and the surrounding community. Relatives, friends, volunteers and children are particularly welcome. Family pets are welcome to visit Cedarvale Terrace Long Term Care Home, but all pets must be properly vaccinated, housebroken and leashed. Please inform the Unit Supervisor or the Programs Manager when bringing a pet to visit.
